Gotherington Primary School

A new duty in the SEN Code of Practice was placed on schools from September 2014 and this is referred to as the 'Local Offer'.  The purpose of the Local Offer is to 'offer' information for parents, in a single place, which helps them to understand what services they and their family can expect from a range of local agencies - including their statutory entitlements; and make clear what is available for their child from our school. 

The SEND page of our school website contains important information which can be used to support families of children with Special Educational Needs and/or a disability (SEND). We have also put together a leaflet which summarises our ‘Local Offer’.
