Year 1
In Year 1 children move from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. We continue to build upon the progress the children have made during their Reception year and to encourage greater independence in subtle ways. We learn about the world both past and present and start to explore more about our lives, how things and people have changed over time. Our foundation subjects are taught through active learning startegies, which means it is memorable and children remember more. We write using our own creative imagination, linked to a vast array of wonderful books, which creates a love of writing and learning from this young age.
Curriculum Information
Autumn term 'The Gruffalo and Friends'
Spring term 'Time for Toys'
Summer term 'Once Upon a Time'
